About Us

St. Paul Lutheran School serves families with children from Pre-K to 8th grade in a Christ-centered environment where they can know God, grow in Him, and show His love as they become college-prepared. We have daily religious studies and worship on Wednesday mornings. Parents and families are encouraged to attend worship on Wednesdays with their children in Chapel or visit us online for worship.

What you will observe when you visit is an amazing group of educators who are dedicated to helping your child grow in literacy, math, science, technology, and the arts.

You will see the wide range of opportunities to become a well-rounded individual through personal lessons with string instruments and one-to-one lessons on the piano. You will also be able to visit our Royal Academy of Music, which isoffered both during the school day and after school hours. This academy is offered nowhere else south of Houston. It is a unique experience to grow.

You will see how social and emotional development is learned through opportunities for students to explore, play, and work together. You will witness how we love teaching each child about their amazing Savior and how, as Christian leaders, they can impact the world, both now and in the future.

We also promote healthy lifestyles at St. Paul. The children are fed freshly prepared, balanced meals daily by a certified chef on campus. Exercise is encouraged both during structured physical education and during daily unstructured play time.

Admissions & Application

Admissions Process

Tour & Program Overview: We invite families to schedule a personalized tour of St. Paul. Please use the link below or call (956) 682-2345 with questions or to arrange your visit.
Student Shadow Day & In-House Assessment: Families may choose a half-day or full-day shadow experience for their student. An in-house assessment is required for applicants to grades 1-8 and can be completed during the shadow day or a scheduled 60-minute appointment. Assessment results are reviewed as part of the application process.
Application Processing: After the online application and required documents are submitted, our principal will review the application. We will notify you once your application is approved or if further information is needed.
Admissions Acceptance Status: Upon acceptance, parents must pay enrollment fees to secure a place. Enrollment opens each February for the following school year.

Enrollment Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE unless admission is denied by St. Paul Lutheran School.

Academics

St. Paul Lutheran School emphasizes nurturing the whole child – spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially. Our teachers see their students and their student’s families as God’s children who are worthy of love and respect. We are dedicated to helping grow the gifts God gives each person as faith is woven throughout the curriculum. SPLS offers a traditional education that will equip your child to succeed in high school, college, and beyond.

St. Paul students do not take the STAAR test. Instead, we administer Iowa Assessments once a year starting in 1st grade to track student progress, but it is not used for pass-fail purposes. Our students routinely test in the top 30% of the country and one to two levels above their current grade.

St. Paul can provide limited resource support for a few students in each class who need a 504 or IEP. We encourage you to inquire about what type of support your family needs and if St. Paul Lutheran School can assist your student.

Carolyn Sanchez
Principal

We are pleased to announce that Ms. Carolyn Sanchez was unanimously selected as principal for the 2026-2027 school year. Ms. Sanchez has been part of the St. Paul family for 14 years.

Ms. Sanchez is an experienced teacher who has taught at both the elementary and middle school levels at St. Paul. She has contributed to many school activities, summer camps, and events, and places her faith and trust in Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

The LCMS Texas District will support Ms. Sanchez during this transition, and she is already working to ensure a successful school year. Please keep her in your prayers as she assumes this responsibility.
