Music Ministry

Handbells

handbells Our handbell choir meets on Tuesdays at 6:00pm, September - May. Everyone age 12 and up is welcome to join! Note-reading background is very helpful, but we will teach you if you're willing to learn. Our members range from first-year ringers to life-long ringers. We play in the traditional church services approximately twice a month, plus some special services. If you have any questions or are interested in joining, contact Jessica Finley the Minister of Music.

Choir

choir Our choir meets on Tuesdays at 7:15pm, September - May. Everyone age 12 and up is welcome to come, no experience required. We sing in the traditional church services approximately twice a month, plus some special services. If you have any questions or are interested in joining, contact Jessica Finley the Minister of Music.

Worship Team

choir The worship team is the group that leads worship at the contemporary service each week. We are composed of drums, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, piano/synth, vocalists, and the occasional flute, accordion, or other instrument. We are always seeking new members to train up and include in our rotation. If you feel like this is the ministry for you, or if you have any questions, contact Jessica Finley the Minister of Music.

Midweek Worship

At St. Paul, we offer Wednesday night services during Advent and Lent. We need musicians who can sing or play during the 4 weeks of Advent or the 6 weeks of Lent. Currently, we offer two worship styles at these times – an acoustic setting of the contemplative Holden Evening Prayer order of worship, and an “unplugged” contemporary style of worship called Upper Room. There is a place for any vocalist or instrumentalist to serve during these seasons. If you might be able to serve at our midweek worship services, contact Jessica Finley the Minister of Music.

Special Choirs

choir Believe it or not, there are some people out there who love to sing but are not part of the choir! Maybe it’s you! Perhaps your schedule conflicts with choir rehearsals, or maybe you’re new to choir and not sure if it’s for you. Either way, special choirs are for you! Special choirs happen a few times a year, in both the traditional and contemporary worship styles. They typically involve 1-3 rehearsals, and 1 performance day. Keep an eye on the announcements to see when the next one will be offered, contact Jessica Finley the Minister of Music.

Solos & Special Music

choir Music is an important part of our worship at St. Paul. We love to glorify God in a variety of ways, with large-group music, small-group music, and solos. Many of our soloists, duos, and trios are made up of people who also serve in a larger group, such as handbells, choir, or the worship team. We are also blessed to have musicians who are not able to commit to weekly rehearsals with those groups, but are able to provide special music on occasion. All of these are welcome. If you have a special musical talent that God is calling you to use to enrich our worship services, contact Jessica Finley the Minister of Music.
